VP, Scrum Master
Job description
Leading UAE bank is hiring for a VP, Scrum Master to drive operational excellence and processes within internal teams and partners.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating IT project teams to achieve project goals & objectives on schedule and within budget
- Prepare, forecast and track project budget and financials
- Ensure projects are delivered to meet the expected outcome in a quality manner and within the approved budget and timeline
- Prepare and track detail project plan/activities
- Prepare and organize Project Steering Committee (PSC) meetings and Project Portfolio meetings
- Engage senior stakeholders to discuss and address project issues and risks
- Collaborate with Stakeholders, Business Project Manager (BPM), business users, various technical teams and vendors throughout the project lifecycle
- Drive and manage project end to end delivery including requirement, design, testing, deployment
- Plan test strategy and coordinate defects review, bug fixes, re-testing and closure within project timeline
- Perform regular quality assessment, submit quality checklist, testing and defect executive summary
- Deliver projects in both agile and waterfall approaches and function as the Scrum Master when delivering projects in the agile approach
- Actively work with and manage a wide range of business and technology stakeholders to ensure quality delivery of the projects
Requirements
- At least 10 to 15 years of IT Project Management experience, Scrum Master in Finance/Banking sector
- Proven experience with Cards and Unsecured Lending products
- Candidates should have banking product knowledge preferably in Cards and Payments related applications and products
- Proven track record of managing and leading the delivery of large complex projects
- Sound knowledge of application development and testing process, able to apply both SDLC and agile delivery methodologies
- Proven track record of delivering projects to agreed project parameters, preferably within financial services organizations
- Proven capability of leading teams across sites and geographies
- Proven experience of working with business and technology stakeholders across all levels to achieve successful outcomes
- Ability to work across organizational boundaries, leverage networks and drive project to successful completion
- High level of drive, integrity, persistence, edge, can-do attitude, pro-activeness and maturity
